| Okay, okay, okay folks...i'll give the details you have all long been waiting for...haha! I assume you would all like to know exactly how I proposed...so here's how it all went down: I had been telling Audrea for quite some time that I had one of her Christmas presents downstairs in my closet because it was too big to wrap (you'll see how this ties in in just a moment)...Audrea's family has a prayer room in their house that is absolutely gorgeous with crosses everywhere and a stained glass window...I had decided that this would be the perfect location...being that we want our marriage and relationship to be God-centered....so while Audrea was busy helping her mom wrap a billion presents during the day on Christmas eve, I snuck off to get the necessities for the proposal. I bought a bunch of white sheets, candles, and roses...when i got home, Audrea had just got in the shower, so I knew this would be my only time to decorate without her wondering what I was doing...so I put the white sheets all over the prayer room, making it a completely white room filled with crosses...then I placed about 75 candles all over the room to set the mood...haha...then I picked all of the rose petals off and covered the sheets on the floor with them...i also put them on the tables and window...of course the actual proposal wasn't going to take place for several hours...so I had to figure out a way to get the candles lit at the perfect time without her knowing....so I told her sister (Nicole) that when Audrea and I went upstairs to exchange our gifts for one another, to go light the candles for me. Finally, the time came to go upstairs and exchange presents...we each opened several presents, knowing that each of us had one "big" present for the other that weren't in the room. Audrea went and got my "big" present first (which was a brand new guitar!...yeah, i cried...so what!?)...as you'll remember from the beginning, I had been telling her that I had a present for her that was too big to wrap down in my closet...after I got my guitar I told her that I just had to wrap her "big" present in a sheet but I couldn't get it up the stairs...so I told her I would just have to walk her down to it...when we got to the bottom of the stairs, I told her I wanted to put a blindfold on her so that she wouldn't be able to tell what it was immediately...then I led her into the prayer room complete with the burning candles...it was gorgeous!...I made her sit down in a chair with the blindfold still on...I then told her that before I let her see it...i wanted to read "it" to her...so I read her something I had written up for her...talking about my love for her and little things like holding hands and kissing her the first time...and blah blah blah...haha...when I finished reading it to her, I got down on my knee and opened up the box with the ring in it and I told her to take off the blindfold...when she did, I told her that everything she had given me was great, but that the greatest gift she could ever give me was a lifetime with her...she obviously was bawling at this point...but she said yes! So that's how it all went down folks...and our wedding is October 7, 2006...and you all better be there!...feel free to let me know what you think about the proposal! |

| Goodness!...has it really been a month since I last posted!? Where does the time go? I forgot how busy life is while going to school. Classes are going well here at UCA...but I am absolutely hating having to be away from my Audrea! I have been sick the last several days and am getting quite tired of it folks...but i'm feeling a little better today, i can actually take a breath through my nose! My cough still sounds like i'm a dirty hooker who has live in a bar for umpteen years though...hopefully it will soon be vanishing. Lets see, what all has happened since I last posted...I got my wisdom teeth taken out...not fun. Apparently when I woke up from the anesthesia after having them taken out, the dental assistant told me I was doing really good...to which i replied with a serious straight face "that's because i'm a macho man, don't you see these guns."......hahaha....those of you that know me will find that humorous being that I am not exactly a physical beast...haha. I haven't been very social since I moved to Conway...just not really in the mood to be hanging out all the time...i think this is a sign of me getting old...25 in three months! I would rather just be a bum at my own house...haha. The mystery still remains about when I shall pop the question to Audrea....the ring is in hand...no more details...dont want to risk my plan being ruined...haha! To many of my friends...thanks for your constant inquiries about whether or not I have done it yet...just be patient...you will know in due time...haha. I'm going to Van Buren this weekend to see Audrea...can't wait! The new profile pic is one of the many pictures we took on our cruise...isn't she gorgeous! The port we left from was in Galveston, TX...exactly where they're expecting this hooker of a hurricane (i think her name is rita) to make landfall....i will be sad if it destroys that place....so, rita, please go back to hookerville...you aren't wanted on our soil...haha! Has anyone seen the movie Just Like Heaven?...if not, you should...it's great! Okay...enough rambling...leave me some love! |
